10 Steps to Success!

 

  1. Research the market and set a competitive listing price.
  2. Prepare the property for sale by making necessary repairs and upgrades.
  3. Gather all relevant documents like tax records, inspection reports, warranties, condo documents.
  4. Take professional photographs of the property and create a virtual tour.
  5. Create a detailed listing for the property including measurements, pictures, description and contact info.
  6. Advertise online, in social media, in FSBO sites and even on the lawn.
  7. Hold open houses. Clean the property, and even trickier, keep it clean for all open houses.

Spend time answering questions from potential buyers.

  1. Negotiate with buyers.
  2. Get a signed contract, set a closing date, hire a lawyer to process the transaction paperwork.
  3. Now begins the task list for moving! And all of the post-closing tasks, like coordinating the handover of the keys and final documents. Remember, the new owners will want vacant possession (no stuff left behind). And they will want a clean home to move into.
